Starting the Day Right

As the sun rises, I begin my day at Gustafson Heating & Air Conditioning. After a hearty breakfast, I head to the office to attend our daily briefing. Our team discusses the schedules for the day, any specific customer concerns, and any updates on industry best practices.

Hitting the Road

With my tools and equipment loaded into the van, I set out to my first appointment of the day – an air conditioning repair call. The customer had reported that their unit was not cooling properly, and they needed assistance.

Upon arrival, I greet the customer and listen attentively to their concerns. I then perform a thorough inspection of the system, checking for any visible issues or potential causes of the problem.

Resolving the Issue

After diagnosing the problem, I explain the situation to the customer in clear, easy-to-understand terms. In this case, the issue was a refrigerant leak, which was causing the unit to work harder than necessary and not cool efficiently.

With the customer’s approval, I proceed to repair the leak and recharge the system with the appropriate amount of refrigerant. Once completed, I test the unit to ensure it is functioning correctly and providing the desired cooling.

Customer Satisfaction

Seeing the relief on the customer’s face when the cool air starts flowing is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. I provide them with tips on how to maintain their system and prevent future issues, ensuring their comfort and energy efficiency.

The Day Continues

Throughout the day, I attend to various calls, including:

  • Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning units
